WHAT IS BURNOUT?
Burnout is a syndrome characterized by
emotional exhaustion (losing your enthusiasm
for work) and depersonalization (viewing/
treating people as if they were objects), resulting
in decreased effectiveness at work (Maslach et al., 1996). The feelings & thoughts you are having can be overwhelming at times but there is help for building resilience in your life, becoming a positive leader and helping engage employees to increase joy at work
